David was born into a family with a deep-rooted passion for aviation. His father was an Airline Captain, his grandfather was a pilot during WWI and his uncle flew in WWII.

As a child, David learned to fly in a restored C170A, a family heirloom that had been idling in his uncle’s yard for years.

Meet David, Your Instructor

After school, David would bus to Zelienople, Pennsylvania, to meet his pilot father at their flying club. Like his father, David got his Private Pilot License at Butler County Airport, a feat his dad achieved fifty years prior. After earning a business degree, he obtained his Instrument, Commercial Single, and Multi-Engine Land certificates at Beaver County Airport.

Passionate About Aviation

David’s career eventually led him to Colorado. In December 2005, he received his CFI-A Certificate, followed by CFII and MEI the following year. This achievement marked the beginning of VisionAir. VisionAir took off in December 2005 with its first client, who bought a brand new Cirrus SR22 without any flight experience. As the client traveled across the country for business, VisionAir taught him how to fly and helped him earn his private and instrument rating. The growth of the company has been entirely referral-based, with satisfied clients fueling its expansion. Over time, VisionAir has specialized in providing Aircraft training for owner pilots of every variant of Piper M-Class (PA46) and every variation of TBM. Endorsed by insurance underwriters, VisionAir offers both initial and recurrent training annually. Additionally, VisionAir assists clients in buying and selling aircraft, ensuring smooth transitions between different aircraft models.
