Recurrent Flight Training Syllabus

  • Pre-Training Preparation: Vision Air developed study materials and resources that will help lay a foundation for safe and efficient training. Systems presentations and quizzes inform and equip you with a theoretical understanding of how your aircraft works.

  • Ground School: We begin Recurrent Training with a tailored approach to your experiences and operation. Based off of questions that you have and scenarios that you have encountered, we take time to deepen your understanding of aircraft systems, updates to the FAR/AIM, advisory circulars, and FAA guidance while spending time talking through accidents and incidents that have occurred in your type of aircraft. We also cover the required items for your Flight Review, Instrument Proficiency Check and any required endorsements you may need.

  • Initial Flight Training: Under the supervision of our expert instructors, you begin your hands-on flight training in your aircraft. You will review normal operations while receiving insight into potential best practices that can help you save money and operate your aircraft more efficiently. The training moves onto a review of how your avionics work together and review instrument procedures that you may not normally use, but may need in the future. Lastly, we review how systems operate and give you the oppurtunity to experience abnormal situations including a Cabin Dump, Emergency Gear Extension, and flying solely with the Standby Flight Instruments. This training equips you with new “tools in your toolbox” to better analyze each situation and fly safely and efficiently.
